Hi Dancers and families, Here is an update about this week’s rehearsals. A number of scheduling conflicts have come up last minute, so I want to encourage everyone to prioritize the Tuesday rehearsal, at 5 pm. Classes will still take place as usual. Thanks!

Show Week
Load in: Tuesday, May 14 at 1pm
Tech Rehearsal: Wednesday May 15 at 5pm
Dress Rehearsal: Thursday, May 16 at 5pm
Performances:
Friday, May 17, 6pm
Saturday and Sunday May 18, 19, at 1pm
Studio Rehearsals
Tuesday, May 7 at 5pm (We can decide if Nina has regular class and rehearsal, or just rehearsal)
Wednesday, May 8 at 5pm (Natalie’s dancers will do a short class and a break, before rehearsal, Kathy’s students arrive by 4:30 to warm up)
Volunteers needed: Please contact Kathy and Natalie if you can help
Assist getting and loading in the dance flooring
Back stage mom for dress rehearsal and performances
Bake Sale goodies for each performance
Set up theater before tech rehearsal in the afternoon
Dressing room set up before dress rehearsal
Clean up all the above after show on Sunday!
ALL DANCERS MUST HAVE A SIGNED SPECIAL EVENT HOLD HARMLESS AND PERMISSION TO PARTICIPATE FORM ON FILE IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE

Presentation
I would like to invite everyone to a presentation on Tuesday, March 19 at 5pm. The teenagers and a few of the younger group will be performing some of the exercises that they have been preparing for their upcoming exams. Hope to see you there!
New Session
Winter/spring Session 2019
Classes will start up the week of January 9th, teens, 14th, younger students.
pre ballet: Tuesdays at 3:45
ballet 1, for dancers in kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade is Mondays and Wednesdays at 4:15
ballet 2, for dancers in the upper elementary grades (3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th) is Mondays and Wednesdays at 5; please note, this session, Wed. is for exam practice
teens have classes Tuesday and Thursday at 4:30, Saturdays 9-2 based on exam level
This session will conclude with a performance at the Redwood Playhouse the week end of May 18th, 19th, 20th.
Summer session will be during July the week of July 8th .
IMPORTANT DATES
Performances:
Spring recital, Sleeping Beauty, part 2, rehearsals, set up and performances the week of May 13th-19th
*Extra full cast rehearsals will be scheduled closer to performances during the week, one Tuesday and one Wednesday.
No Classes:
Presidents Week: week of February 18th
Spring vacation: week of April 15th
Exams: mid March, tba

Rates and fees
Registration fee:
$10 per year per family, usually paid in September
Costume use fee, usually paid in September:
pre-ballet, intro to ballet/ ballet 1- $35 per year,
Upper levels/ ballet 2 and 3- $50 per year
Class fees are calculated based on the length of the session:
1x week $12 per class
2x week $11 per class
teens/ballet 3 $35 per week
adult drop in: $10 per class
Students participating in RAD exams that take place in the spring will have some additional expenses. Info will be provided when available.

1x week: $192; plus registration and costume use fees if new to program
2x week: $352; plus registration and costume fees if new to program
teens: $595 plus exam fees

special seating
Please let us know ahead when purchasing your tickets if you have a guest or great grandparent that may special assistance or seating. The gate and doors at the back by the kitchen offer wheelchair access from the parking lot and will be open. We can set them up near that area.
Opening night!
Opening night tonight! Ticket sales start one hour before the show, and the doors open for seating 30 minutes before the show, but there is no reserved seating. Please do not enter the theater ahead of time and put coats on seats!
If you bring goodies for the refreshment table, they can be dropped off in the lobby where the table will be set up.

Also, a reminder, please be sure to fill out the new Hold Harmless agreement for the performance. Students will not be allowed to perform without one. We have them at the studio and will have them at the theater during set up and rehearsal.
