We are going to enter this year’s RAD photo contest, “Dancing at your favorite landmark.” If you would like to join us for the photo shoot, we plan to meet this Friday in Rockefeller Forest around 10 am. Wear solid colors, bring a few outfits….we may want a few forest fairies…and dance with us in the redwoods.

SoHum Dancing 
I found some gorgeous spots in Rockefeller Grove for our photo contest entry! It’s important we all arrive on time to catch the lighting that’s really going to make a spectacular photo, so please try to be at Rockefeller Grove at 10 to 10 or earlier so we can all get to our first location as early as possible. Solid colors in everyday clothes, or a pretty sundress for the girls would be nice, and if you have a little fairy costume or dress please bring that as well. I will stop by the studio to pick up wings in the morning in case we want to use those as well…
Off of Hwy 101 take the South Fork/Honeydew exit and follow the signs to Rockefeller Forest/Honeydew, which will take you under the hwy. After you cross under the overpass, it will be the first grove to the left, labeled Rockefeller Forest/Bull Creek Flat. If you are running late, I will post little SoHum Dancing post-it notes with arrows on the loop trail signs (it’s a .5 mile wide and flat loop path through the trees) so you can find us easily…
We are planning on taking a group photo dancing around a large redwood tree as our main entry theme, but we have lots of ideas and locations that could produce some lovely photos for your little dancers and for our yearly calendar. If there are any particularly ambitious models that would like some free portraits for themselves, I will be trying to be at the grove at 9 a.m. to get set up, so please come early and help me get the shot set up!
