Winter Session to start soon!

Happy Holidays!  Thank you everyone for making our show such a success! I hear many compliments from the community, every time I am in town. I think we are getting comfortable in the new theater, too. I love being able to have our performances there and I think the dancers do too. It really raises the performance level a lot. I could tell that all the dancers were giving their “all” to the show.

Classes will start up again the week of Monday, January 11. We will be focusing on classwork and technique until spring vacation at the end of March, then Spring Session will lead up to our annual recital, the week of June 6-12.

There are no significant changes to the schedule, so just bring your dancer to class as usual. Hope to see you soon!

SHOW TIME!

Opening night! Well, we made it through dress rehearsal, and now it is “show time!” I think it will be a great show, and the dancing is wonderful, thank you everyone for making this happen.

If you have a chance, please bring some goodies to share in the lobby. Amy is in charge of the goodie table. The audience always enjoys our treats.

Is anyone a videographer? If so, let me know and maybe we can arrange for a video of the show to be made this weekend. We already have lots of great photos by Melanie and Natalie, but a movie would be fun to have.

See you all tonight!

Updates!

Hi everyone! Here are a few notes as we head into the show week.

*** A schedule change- on Wednesday we can start an hour earlier, as it is a short day at school. This rehearsal is ONLY for Kathy’s students, grade 2 and up. We will gather at 3:30 to warm up, and do a short run through for light and sound check starting at 4, and NOT at 5. We can be done by 5pm, I hope.

Tomorrow, Monday the 7th, Nina’s girls are meeting at 3pm all together, then staying for the rehearsal at 4. They do not need to come at 2. (Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I think we set this last Monday). Nina’s girls are not required to come both Monday and Tuesday, but will be needed for dress rehearsal on Thursday, ready to dance by 5pm.

Remember to consider bringing some goodies for the table at the shows. Amy Arcuri will be handling this project.

I need two moms for each show to help backstage, one in the dressing room and one by the stage door to handle emergency bathroom runs, etc.!

That’s all for now, stay posted here for anymore news.

Improved schedule!

Hello dancers and families! Here is the schedule that will bring us up to the winter performances. If you have any questions or see any inconsistencies or errors, please let me know asap, so I can address them!

What does your dancer need to bring?
All dancers will need to have their hair in a well secured bun, or have short hair secured away from the face. A little makeup is suggested to show facial features under the stage lighting. Dancers will need clean tights without any holes and slippers. An “undertard” is recommended. I will contact Kevin about making these available for purchase.
A non-breakable water bottle is permitted; food is not allowed backstage. Dancers may NOT eat in their costumes!
***************************************************************************
We will be setting up a goodie table at each performance. Please consider bringing something to share with our audience. Remember to label with ingredients regarding allergens.
*******************************************
Parents, please do your best to have your child attend as many rehearsals as possible, but the most important one is dress rehearsal. If your child is sick, do not worry about missing an event, do whatever is needed to encourage them to get well so they can join us soon.
